I received this email today from a woman who has been my friend for, get this, 58 years. I’ve watched it several times and every time it cracks me up. This may be cultural . . . not only am I from Detroit where car is king and I whapped more than one car hood while asserting my pedestrian rights, but I’m entering the crone part of my life. I have no intention of taking any prisoners on this part of the journey. Obviously, the star of this show agrees with that strategy.
Here’s the email
“. . .A lady was video taping her son riding a skate board when her attention switched to an old woman trying to cross the street. You can hear the lady who is doing the taping giggling as she records the event.”
My prayer for the day? . . . “Mother-Father God, Source of All That Is, let me grow into an old bat who helps youth remember their manners.”
